This is interesting, I'm realizing that the 8-space reach of the galleon can be combined with the elephant and ten soldier move giving a far greater reach, something I hadn't realized.

Indeed Kerry, it's the base for surprising attacks and dynamic changes. And a little mistake could result in severe loss.

But now I take over one of your galleons in addition. In the other case I could capture your second galleon but I can't withdraw the conquered galleon far enough (attack by the two boats possible and capture with the last move of your turn).
